What is Amazon product photography?

Amazon product photography is the set of images on a listing, and Amazon holds the main image to strict rules: a pure white background (RGB 255,255,255), the product filling at least 85% of the frame, and no text, logos, borders or props. Seenable generates that compliant main image from a single photo you already have, then produces the lifestyle and detail shots that fill out the gallery and A+ content.

The problem

What makes this hard today

One rejected main image can suppress the whole listing

Amazon does not negotiate on the main image. An off-white background, a prop that is not in the box, or a product that only fills half the frame can get a listing suppressed — and you find out after the traffic is already gone.

  • Background must read as pure white, not "close enough"
  • No text, watermarks, logos or borders
  • No props or accessories the buyer will not receive

Seven gallery slots, and most sellers fill two

Amazon gives you up to seven images plus video. Listings that use the full gallery — scale shots, detail crops, in-use lifestyle — convert better than ones that stop at the hero. Most sellers stop at the hero because each extra shot is another studio line item.

An unprocessed product photograph

Every new ASIN restarts the photography bill

Studio photography prices per product, so a catalog that grows by 30 SKUs a quarter carries a photography cost that never levels off. Variations multiply it — each colourway is its own shoot.

  • Per-product pricing that scales with the catalog
  • Colour variations shot separately
  • Reshoots billed again when packaging changes

Amazon image requirements, and how Seenable meets them

The rules that decide whether your main image goes live.

Main image background

Pure white — RGB 255, 255, 255

The white-background tool renders a true 255 white sweep rather than a near-white studio grey.

Frame fill

Product occupies at least 85% of the image

Hero-shot framing composes the product to fill the frame, so you are not cropping in afterwards and losing resolution.

Minimum resolution

1,000px on the longest side to enable zoom; 1,600px+ recommended

Generate at 1K by default and upscale to 2K or 4K when the listing needs zoom.

Shape

Square main image is the safest default

A 1:1 export preset is built in, alongside 1:1, 3:4, 4:3, 9:16 and 16:9.

Prohibited elements

No text, logos, watermarks, borders, or props not included in the purchase

Main-image generation renders the product alone; props only appear on the lifestyle shots you generate separately.

Gallery and A+ imagery

Up to 7 gallery images; lifestyle and scale shots permitted beyond the main image

One shoot produces the hero plus scene, detail and in-use variations with consistent lighting.

Platform requirements are summarised from the channel’s own seller documentation and were accurate at the time of writing. Marketplaces revise these rules — always confirm against the official listing guidelines before a bulk upload.

Process

How it works

From upload to finished images in under two minutes.

01

Upload one product photo

A single clear shot is enough — a phone photo on a kitchen table works. Seenable reads the product, not the setting.

02

Pick the look and the channel

Choose a style, a scene and an optional consistent model. Export presets cover the aspect ratios each channel expects.

03

Generate the full set

Seenable plans the shoot then renders the variations together, so lighting and framing stay consistent across the set.

04

Download and publish

Export in the ratio each surface needs and push them straight to your listings.

Capabilities

What you get

Compliant main images

Compliant main images

True white background, product filling the frame, nothing else in shot — the three things Amazon actually checks.

Lifestyle for A+ content

In-context scenes for A+ modules and the back half of the gallery.

Variation consistency

Shoot every colourway against the same lighting so the variation family looks like one product.

Zoom-ready resolution

Upscale to 2K or 4K so the listing qualifies for hover-zoom.

Compare

A better way to create product images

The old way

  • Book a studio and ship the products out
  • Wait days or weeks for the shoot and the edit
  • Pay per product, then pay again for reshoots
  • Re-crop every image by hand for each channel
  • Lighting drifts between batches

With Seenable

  • Upload one photo you already have
  • Full set generated in minutes, not weeks
  • Starts free — 130 credits, no card required
  • Export presets for 1:1, 3:4, 4:3, 9:16 and 16:9
  • Consistent lighting and framing across the whole catalog
