A Shopify storefront that looks like one brand shot it

Mismatched product photos make a good store look improvised. Upload one image per product and get a catalog with consistent lighting, framing and crop — plus the lifestyle shots your homepage and collection banners need.

What is Shopify product photography?

Shopify product photography is the imagery on your product and collection pages. Shopify recommends square images around 2048×2048px and a single consistent aspect ratio across the catalog, because its themes crop to a uniform grid. Seenable generates that consistent set from one photo per product, so your collection pages line up instead of each tile sitting at a different scale.

The problem

What makes this hard today

Collection pages expose every inconsistency

A Shopify collection grid puts twenty products side by side at the same size. Any difference in background tone, product scale or crop becomes obvious the moment the page loads — and it reads as a less trustworthy store.

  • Themes crop to a uniform aspect ratio
  • Mixed backgrounds break the grid visually
  • Products photographed at different scales look mismatched

The homepage needs images the catalog cannot provide

Hero banners, collection tiles and campaign sections want lifestyle imagery in landscape and vertical crops. A folder of white-background packshots cannot fill them, so the homepage ends up on stock photography that does not show your products.

An unstyled product photograph

Every new drop means another shoot

For a store adding products continuously, photography is not a one-off setup cost — it is a recurring bill and a recurring delay between "product is ready" and "product is live".

Shopify image guidance, and how Seenable meets it

What Shopify’s themes expect from a catalog.

Recommended dimensions

2048 × 2048px square for product images

Generate square and upscale to 2K, which lands at 2048px on each side.

Consistent aspect ratio

One ratio across the catalog, or theme grids crop unevenly

Export presets apply the same ratio to every product in a batch run.

Maximum file size

20MB per image; up to 5000 × 5000px

Exports sit far below the ceiling, so uploads never fail on size.

Supported formats

JPEG, PNG, WebP and HEIC

Export as JPEG, PNG or WebP; the converter handles format changes without a round trip.

Homepage and collection banners

Landscape and vertical crops for hero and tile sections

The same shoot exports to 1:1, 3:4, 4:3, 9:16 and 16:9, so banners come from the same session as the packshots.

Zoom

Larger source images enable theme zoom on product pages

Upscale to 2K or 4K where the theme supports zoom.

Platform requirements are summarised from the channel’s own seller documentation and were accurate at the time of writing. Marketplaces revise these rules — always confirm against the official listing guidelines before a bulk upload.

Process

How it works

From upload to finished images in under two minutes.

01

Upload one product photo

A single clear shot is enough — a phone photo on a kitchen table works. Seenable reads the product, not the setting.

02

Pick the look and the channel

Choose a style, a scene and an optional consistent model. Export presets cover the aspect ratios each channel expects.

03

Generate the full set

Seenable plans the shoot then renders the variations together, so lighting and framing stay consistent across the set.

04

Download and publish

Export in the ratio each surface needs and push them straight to your listings.

  • Re-crop every image by hand for each channel
  • Lighting drifts between batches

With Seenable

  • Upload one photo you already have
  • Full set generated in minutes, not weeks
